“They’ve gone. They would never return and they keep silence. Everyone, who enters Labyrinth could be lost and never returns too. Labyrinth – is a synonym of the World of Silence…”
Head of the Northern-West Expedition of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Academy of Science of Azerbaijan Nasib Muxtarov decided to create an underground museum in Fazil village of Sheki region in 2006.
His idea was to prevent ancient graves and artifacts from being destroyed and to keep them as original as possible. His colleague archeologist Intizar Badalova has been helping him for all these years. They built the underground labyrinth from bricks and did all necessary work to keep the original atmosphere around graves.
The Labyrinth has become a little museum with absolutely unique specimens of the antique and middle centuries. Thousands of years the dead were buried on this hill. The graveyard also has some mystical, ritual buries…
Head of the modern expedition, archeologist, Chief of the Department of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography Zaur Hasanov sais:
“We can see changes of cultures here. Not Ethnos, but cultures. One can feel the influence of the passing by cultural periods to the same Ethnos. For example, we notice elements of Greek culture in the tableware made in the original manner of the existed here Ethnic majority in the past Great Alexander period. Our main interest here is to see a variety of cultures in one grave. It’s great to see how life and surroundings influenced on arts, culture, and rituals of the inhabitants of Fazil for thousands of years.”
An international Kazakh and Azerbaijani expedition is working here more than one month.
“We found out interesting materials. Absolutely different from those we have found in Kazakhstan. It is unique experience, not similar to anything else we ever have seen” – mentions the head of the Kazakhstan Expedition, director of the Archeological Museum of Altay Eldoz Akereev.
I have brought Russian tourists here some years earlier. Nasib Mukhtarov, who still was alive at that period, told us that all of the artifacts had huge amount of cosmic information stamped by master into it.
“This jug looking like ordinary one. But look at it. Its’ nose and handle is looking as snake. The snake is a first symbol of The Sun. The form of snake shows that She protect something, something round and big. It is round Earth. Could you imagine? They already knew that the Earth is round! And here of the top, we see planets. There is The Sun. There is The Moon. There are other planets. Look, in one small jug the ancient master shows the Planet system and Totem – Snake. Isn’t it amazing? It is period of ancient Albania!”
Today, after the death of creator of the Labyrinth Nasib Muztarov, his right hand – Intizar Badalova, also speaks about the information we could “read” from these graves and artifacts.
“Look at this bowl. We see circle with the cross in it. Cross is mean four forces of nature – Water, Wind, Fire, Earth. And it is inside the circus – Universe. Or let see this interesting stamp at the bottom of the grave. You see this circus and “S” inside it. “S” is dividing the circle for two parts. Both of them are looking as “Buta” now. “Buta” is our ancient symbol. It has a lot of meaning – period of time and form of child in the belly. Look the skeleton also was burn here in the same form, as a child in the belly. As you can see there are two “Buta’s here. One is looking up, one down. Those which is looking up – is our life. Those is looking down – world of dead people. And “S” itself has form of the normal child’s spine. You can see a lot of other things, plates, and animals in this grave. People of that period tell us that they believe they never die, they just change the Worlds. And here is a Circle – born, life, death and born again.”
I move forward the Labyrinth and see more and more secrets. There are two graves without skeleton. They are more looks like the table for the quest or for Gods, than graves. A lot of tableware, vases, jugs, plates, fruit plates… and two idols… Look at them! The looks as people in the spacesuits! And here are plates with three legs… It’s looking absolutely like UFO!
Who are these idols? Why are the plates looking as UFOs?
Intizar Badalova says that: “People of antique time usually created the things they’ve seen sometimes. Their plates, jugs looking as animals – snake, bear, cat… It could mean that they saw something like UFO or people in spacesuits…
Or another idea is that they believed they came from Heaven, they said they are people from Cosmos. So, maybe, that’s why they did idols as spacemen. And they did sacrifice buries with their idols. What is interesting is that most of such kind “spacemen” idols and “UFO” plates have been found here, in Fazil. Also, big amount of tablewares have symbols of planets on it. There are small and big ones.
Intizar Badalova says, that antique period keeps a lot of interesting, mystic secrets and it still hasn’t been researched enough.
Nasib Muxtarov, who had found, preserved and kept in a very good conditions all his findings wrote some words at the end of the Labyrinth – “The person who don’t like his history should be foolish one”…
And at the entrance of the Labyrinth he settled a plate with sign from Avesta “Good thinks, Good Words, Good Deeds”. He thinks that if the person could live by these rules he will be able to enter the Labyrinth, get information and return back. The only person living by these rules could keep the history for his Nation…
